Today has been an interesting day so far ^^

I set my alarm this morning, then decided that once I was up I didn’t really need to be up after all. So, I went downstairs and switched out the load of laundry I washed last night into the dryer, then came back upstairs and reset my alarm for an hour later.

I dreamed over the course of that hour – I actually woke up about 30 mins later than I had planned, as apparently my alarm didn’t go off. Thinking back over the dream, I can see where much of the imagery my subconscious used was pulled from. That doesn’t change the fact that it was a new story though – at least, not one I’ve heard before. A member of the Dark Carnival had come to a small town. There was a beautiful maiden involved – who was of course not what she seemed. There was a hero moved by love – but not in the conventional sense. And there was the town itself – watched over by Guardians unknown.

The place of a Guardian is not to act directly in a situation, though there are times when that eventuality will come and hands are forced. The purpose of a Guardian is to provide that place of safety, where opportunity will meet knowledge and action. As large as a great city, as small as an inn, a moment wrapped in song – wherever there is fear that calls to be faced and answered – that is their place.

I hopped in and out of the shower, got dressed, and grabbed my things to head out the door for class. And what I found – a car iced shut >_< Was supposed to have class today, but that didn’t happen. Fortunately, the class was only review for our final next week.

Once I got the car cleaned off, I wound up heading out to Borders. Spent some time there looking around, and picked up a book. Grabbed some lunch after that and just sat and thought for a bit. Eventually made my way back here, where I’ve worked a bit, before having to head off to work :)

In fact, it’s about that time. Guess I should get suited up ^_^
